Dr. Zhao Bing, a recipient of the National "Outstanding Young Investigator" Award, serves as the principal investigator for the National Key Research and Development Program on "Stem Cells and Their Transformational Research." His research primarily focuses on elucidating the fate determination mechanisms of adult stem cells and developing innovative strategies for organoid cultivation. Over the past five years, Dr. Zhao has authored 13 top-tier papers as the corresponding author in esteemed international journals. His groundbreaking research achievements have been recognized by Nature News and prominently featured on the Nature website's homepage.

In 2018, Dr. Zhao Bing established the Organoid Research Center at Fudan University, followed by the founding of Berzing Biotech in 2021 and the Nanchang University Organoid Research Institute in 2023. Committed to advancing the standardization and industrial application of organoid technology, he is also exploring novel pharmaceutical avenues for its utilization. Dr. Zhao has spearheaded the formulation of guidelines for various ministerial-level special projects related to organoids, such as the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" National Key Research and Development Program, collaborative innovation initiatives supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program, the Shanghai Key Project, and the Guangdong Key Project.

Furthermore, as a member of the Standardization Working Committee of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology, Dr. Zhao has played a leading role in establishing multiple standards and cultivation protocols for organoids. He is the author of the Chinese Expert Consensus on Organoid Quality Control, contributing significantly to the advancement and quality assurance of organoid research in China.
