Prof. Biao Chen简介:

Biao Chen received the B.E. and M.E. degrees in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1992 and 1994, respectively. He joined the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT, in 1995, where he received the M.S. degree in statistics and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, in 1998 and 1999, respectively.

From 1994 to 1995, he worked at AT&T (China) Inc., Beijing, China. From 1999 to 2000, he was with Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, as a Postdoctoral Associate. Since 2000, he has been with Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, where he is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. His area of interest mainly focuses on statistical signal processing and information theory for wireless networks and multiuser multiple-input multiple-output systems.

Prof. Chen has served as Area Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, Associate Editor for the IEEE Communications Letters, the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, and the EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking (JWCN). He is an elected member of the IEEE Signal Processing Society Sensor Array and Multi-Channel Signal Processing Technical Committee. He is the recipient of an NSF CAREER Award in 2006.
