薛开平，男，生于1980年5月，江苏东台人。2003年7月获得中国科学技术大学信息安全专业学术学位，2007年12月获得中国科学技术大学通信与信息系统专业博士学位。现为中国科学技术大学信息学院副教授、硕士生导师，主要研究方向为下一代网络体系结构与网络安全等。

　　主要经历：

　　1999年9月~2003年7月，中国科学技术大学，获信息安全专业学士学位。

　　2003年7月~2007年12月，中国科学技术大学，获通信与信息系统专业博士学位。

　　2012年5月~2013年5月，美国佛罗里达大学，博士后，电子与计算机工程。

　　2007年至今，中国科学技术大学信息学院讲师、副教授（硕士生导师）。　　　　 

　　现为IEEE高级会员、CCF高级会员，中科院青年创新促进会会员、安徽省第二届教坛新秀奖获得者。主持和参与多项国家自然科学基金、国家重点研发计划课题、国家八六三重点课题、科技部重大专项和安徽省自然科学基金等课题，并与华为等企业建立了长期的合作关系。担任国内外相关领域多个重要学术期刊和会议审稿人，担任多个国内和国际会议的Session Chair、TPC Member、Organizing Committee Member，并担任International Journal on Advances in Networks and Services的Editor。近年来在重要学术期刊和会议发表科研论文50余篇，申请专利申请专利27项（含7项PCT专利，已授权13项），提交IETF/IRTF标准草案5篇，参与提交3GPP提案2篇。
